By fish bum from Portland, ME on 01/03/2008 Pros: Easy To Use, Functional Cons: Smaller than imagined Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Decent bag, great price. Smaller than I thought but I guess i should have checked measurements. Will serve as a good flyreel and spool bag. Should hold about 5-6 reels and some spools.

By Bama Flyfisher from North Alabama on 12/22/2007 Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Over the years, I've had dozens of vests and chest packs. The vests weren't roomy enough when wearing heavy clothing and other chest packs were cumbersome and got in the way. For my needs this fits the bill. It holds everything I use and you don't even know you're wearing it when casting.
Bag a winner with this bag By Havana Daydreaming from Havana, Arkansas on 12/22/2007 Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional Best Uses: Fresh Water, Traveling Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Excellent for carrying your "essentials" and keeping them from getting lost in the larger bags on the market. There is nothng worse than getting ready hit the water quickly, especially if you aren't dressing out fully, and having to rummage through a large bag to find the smaller items you need. This bag covers it. Large enough to handle the essentials, yet small enough to carry alone or even in your larger pack bag. Well made, easy to use, lots of pockets, just handy all around.

By revElrod from Columbia, SC on 12/12/2007 Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great case for the money. It fit the rod I recently built perfectly. It is a good tight fit with no "jiggle" room. It compares to other cases that can easily cost 3x as much.

By Minnesota Fly Fisher from Minneapolis, MN on 09/14/2007 Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional Best Uses: Fresh Water, Salt Water Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this item in an effort to reduce my load while fishing small Midwestern rivers for smallmouth. It carries just the flies leaders, tippet material & tools that I need for an afternoon's fishing. Using it as a shoulder bag I'm able to leave the heavy vest home, grab my tackle plus this bag and head out. It greatly simplifies things. There's plenty of space and pockets and like all Clear Creek products it is very well made. The mesh pocket for a small water bottle is a plus. This bag fills the bill for a simple afternoon's fishing.
By Fish Master from Des Moines, IA on 09/12/2007 Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional, Perfect size Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We took this pack into the Boundary Waters and it was perfect. 3 guys, 3 of the packs, 0 problems. It was great to be able to throw on under another pack to portage with or set in the canoe while fishing. Could not have asked for a better product!
I would buy this product again By The Green Hornet from Little Egg Harbor, NJ on 09/12/2007 Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I previously had a Columbia chest pack just like this one except where the ripple fly patch is theirs was sheepskin. Dried the flys and held them well without bulk. I always pinch barbs but the sheepskin still held the flys well. Also one problem with the columbia was the zippers always got salt corrosion even though zytel and then could not open them. Eventually had to use pliers to open and tore the pockets. Velcro closure would do the job nicely and eliminate this problem. This is a great chest pack and is all I need for a day trip in the salt water. Also because it lays close to the chest it doesn't block your view as you look down while wading. I also cross the leads behind the back and because the pack is nice and small all weight is kept off the neck. As anyones who has flyfished a lot with a heavy vest day after day knows how the vest cuts across the neck and shoulder muscles and is very uncomfortable.
