By landcruiser from Seattle, WA on 10/11/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I haven't worn it yet. But so far it looks nice in person, nice durable knit, well-made, looks versatile. Will definitely wear when it gets cold or play in the snow.
By Comfort Gal from Sydney, AU on 10/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the colour of this vest! It's very warm, and great over a merino wool top. I got XS because I have a small waist. It's a little tight under the arms but fits well everywhere else. The vest comes with its own handy stuff sack.
By LC on the move from Boston, MA on 10/08/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this jacket for a trip to Ireland/U.K. since I knew I was going to need some rain gear to get through their unpredictable weather. This jacket worked really well -- it kept me dry when the rain started to fall, but it was lightweight enough to carry around when the sun came out. Also worked well against the wind, and was loose enough I could wear layers underneath it.
By Mountain Maiden from Durango, Colorado on 10/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish Describe Yourself: Conditioning Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They're not soft shell. The label says "softech." They are smooth, woven fabric inside and out, not the knitted softshell that is smooth on the outside and fleecy on the inside, like I expected. Other than not being what I expected, they are nice pants. I just wore them to court and will be hiking in them this afternoon. They fit well in the hips and waist, and look nice. Although they have a lot of pockets, including cargo pockets on the thigh, the pockets are designed not to bulge unattractively when there is nothing in them. I think they will be too thin to use outdoors in the winter without longjohns underneath.
By trixie from Missoula on 10/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I plan on wearing this everywhere....

Really cool mix of a soft shell and insulated vest. Mammut stuff is great.
By beard from chicago on 10/05/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am 6'3" and this jacket fits perfect in an XL if it were any shorter though it would be a problem. Great all around soft shell, definitely for cooler weather use. I am excited to see how the NanoSphere holds up in the long run
By JCG from SE MN on 10/05/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Rather puffy, looks like it would be very warm, has alot more filling than other synthetic jackets. The single pull hood cinch that Mammut uses does not work well on the Stratus jacket,(I have a Mammut Blackburn from STP and the single pull cinch works ok, not great, with it), it does not tighten the hood around the head/face, only pulls the hood back, about eye level, away from the face, really poor design. Otherwise looks like a good jacket. I only say it runs small, as it is ero sized which tend to be made on the trim side. I order all ero clothing a size larger. I returned it due to the hood.
beautiful but a little snug By Diana from Athens, GA on 10/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Extreme Conditions, Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually wear a size10-12; I got the size 12-14 for the jacket - it seems a little snug over hips area, but overall I like it ; I guess the next size jacket would have been 16-18 and that's too big
By dshow from Indianapolis, IN on 10/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Incredible jacket! I bought this jacket last winter, and I will have to say you DO get what you pay for. This is by far the nicest jacket I have ever owned. It is expensive but well worth the money. Everything and more that you would expect from a high end Mammut product. It is a slim fitting jacket: I am 6'2'' 160lbs, and the width and length are perfect in size M. Great for casual wear or the most extreme conditions! Highly recommended!
