A good line at a great price... By Petey from Peoples Republik of Taxachusetts on 04/22/2008 Pros: Easy Casting, Line Doesn't Tangle Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I "over lined" an 8 weight rod with this 10 weight line and it loads the rod nicely with a slower stroke and casts well with low line memory.
A stripping basket was used to control the running line and tangles were minimal.
This high viz orange floating line handles well and I am pleased with it's performance.

Decent inexpensive SW fly line By brooklynfly from brooklyn, ny on 09/23/2007 Pros: Easy Casting, Line Doesn't Tangle, Reliable Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Shore Casting Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I first purchased the 10wt tried it out in the surf. Decent line for the money. I liked it enough to get one for my 9wt as well. Line can't be beat for the money. Cortland lines are some of my favorite casting fly lines. Not sure how durable line will be, but I trust Cortland quality so I'm sure it wll hold up fine. One thing it's not a line for delicate presentations - If your looking to fish quiet flats or estuaries for finicky fish, this is not the line for you; agressive rocket taper is better suited for throwing big flies in windy bays or outer beaches. Kelly green color is not bad - bright enough to see, but not in your face like bright fluourescent yellow etc. I generally prefer stealthy fly lines - sand, clears, sage green etc so color is acceptable enough. Great line if for beginner Saltwater Fly fisherman or if you're fishing an intermediate line and want to try a floater. Give it a try.
