By Corbina-man from Oxnard, CA on 10/29/2009 Pros: Adequate Tint, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Inconsistent polarization, Missing AR, Poor Protection Describe Yourself: Classic, Outdoorsman, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The intended use was for lifeguarding at a pool. Style provides good coverage. However the polarization filter is stressed by the frame as evidenced by the "amoeba pattern" displayed by lenses when they viewed through other polarized glasses. Also, the CDM package says they have anti-reflection coating but there is none on the 3 pairs that were delivered.
Great for your eyes, less for your face. Probably not a good fit for women.

Warranty is not that great for price By ARREB from Bushnell,Florida on 10/26/2009 Cons: Warrnaty not lifetime as Describe Yourself: Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Do not trust Costa Del Mar and their life time warranty.
Their warranty only covers glasses they carry parts for.Once the stop making your glasses and they do not have the parts they will only offer you a small discount on a new pair of glasses.
Leaving you stuck paying for a new pair or using the old ones if you can.
They should replace the glasses if they don't carry parts but they WILL NOT.
Basically their warranties are not lifetime as they falsely advertise. Feel free to ask me I know first hand.

Best Glasses I've Ever Owned By Jiveturkey from Hanahan, SC on 10/25/2009 Pros: Adequate Tint, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Polarization, Good Protection, Lightweight Best Uses: At The Beach, Casual Wear, Driving, Fishing, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-Oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Excellent glasses!!! I've had about 6 pair of costa's now (I keep losing them), but this is my first pair Tropic Stars. The lense system is great & easy to change out. I was crushed when it said there was no more in stock!! I was going to buy a few more pair for back-ups. Anyway if you can get your hands on them....DO IT!!!
By Corbina-man from Oxnard, CA on 10/25/2009 Pros: Adequate Tint, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Missing anti-reflection, Poor polarization Best Uses: At The Beach, Athletics, Casual Wear, Driving Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-Oriented, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Used for eye protection whenever outdoors. Great to have a hard-to-find small size that fits! Checked polarization by looking through another pair of polarized lenses. The Costa Tico shows that polarization is NOT uniform and displays an amoeba shape. This is usually due to stress placed on the lens by the frame, distorting the polarizing layer. This along with the missing A/R, make these just average sunglasses - not the "something special" that Costa Del Mar brand represents.
Great product! Essentially 3 for 1! By pleuopus from Lake Jackson, Texas on 10/24/2009 Pros: Adequate Tint, Comfortable, Durable, Good Polarization, Good Protection Best Uses: Driving, Fishing and hunting Describe Yourself: Outdoor enthusiast Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use the glasses for driving, hunting and fishing. Great polarization makes seeing fish for sightcasting easy. Difficult to change lenses without fingerprints, but does include a lens cleaning cloth. Overall... great product!
