By Roger from Monterey, CA on 09/24/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just got these and put them on with white tube socks. A little tight, to be expected, not bad, need to be broken in. A little slip in the heel, I think to be expected with new boots and this type of boot, not bothersome. Great pair of rugged but stylish western boots! Thanks Sierra Trading Post!
By Past Rodeo Queen from Iowa on 09/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Easy to break in, Easy To Clean, Stable, Well Made Cons: Difficult Entry/Exit Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Rodeo Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots did not require any breaking-in! I never got any blisters or rub spots from them. They are very comfortable, fit true to size, and I have had a lot of remarks from others about them beign very flashy and trendy. I was nervous ordering them off the web (never done it before) but I was pleasantly surprised and they are PERFECT! I highly recommend these boots!
I like these boots, but time will tell By LorranB from Aromas, CA on 09/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Stylish, Warm Cons: A little stiff, What's with the fringe Best Uses: Cold Weather, Poison oak brush, Wet Weather, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Particular about style Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: After getting poison oak on my ankles several times this spring and summer, I think it's time for work boots. I will be using these to work in the coastal california brush (poison oak, black berry, nettle, fox tails, etc,), fence building and house remodeling. (Barefoot just isn't working.)
I should probably also mention that I am a woman. I was very confused about converting sizes from men's to women's. The information on the internet is not consistent. I used the old formula of subtracting two sizes. I am a 9-9 1/2. Usually men's shoes two sizes up are still a bit big, so I opted for a 7. They are perfect!
I did have to get rid of that ghastly fringe thing. I recommend to all the men out there that you take that off if you want to get any dates!
Right boot must be Boa Constrictor! By Bruce the Can't walk in these boots. from Fayetteville, NC on 08/24/2009 Pros: Left boot is fine, Stylish Cons: Are these seconds, Right boot too small, Uncomfortable, Very difficult to get off, Very difficult to put on Best Uses: Haven't worn yet, Trying to decide options Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Funny that you would ask me to rate these boots. I have been involved with renovating both bathrooms in my house and really haven't had the time to contact you guys. I really like the boots they are beautiful, but the right boot is way too small for me to wear. I was trying to figure out if there was some way I could stretch it to fit, but I don't think that snake skin is very forgiving. Can I exchange them for size 11's? Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Sincerely,
Bruce D.Macdonald (Retired 82nd Airborne Division United States Army)
By Mark from Indiana on 08/22/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Stylish, Very nice quality Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great quality unlined work boot.
By Buck Henry from Atlanta on 08/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Dan Post Rattlesnake boots are the bomb baby! The color combo of the natural snakeskin with the neutral leather boot shaft looks great together. And the stitching pattern on the boot shaft is also very well done and enhances the overall look of this boot. The boot is well made, including the use of traditional lemonwood pegs. I have been wanting a nice pair of rattlesnake skin boots and this Dan Post boot more than exceeded my expectation.
