Dolfin

Dolfin

Over 50 years ago, a lingerie manufacturer sitting poolside overheard lifeguards complaining about their lack of quality Australian racing briefs. A week later, the soon-to-be founder of Dolfin had created the high-quality suits these lifeguards were seeking and launched his now-famous swimwear company (we doubt, though, that he told the lifeguards he was using the same nylon fabric that had made his women's lingerie so popular). Since then, Dolfin has successfully outfitted dozens of NCAA champions and even some world-record swimmers. Dolfin’s success is based on the company’s commitment to innovation, quality and value. Look for recent styles like Ocean and AquaShape, with modern features like chlorine resistance and 50+ UV protection.

Comments:
I am a hard to fit 34 F bust and I have a short waist. Suite offers enough support and is SO flattering elsewhere. Size 34 is perfect, 36 is just a tad too long and straps too lose so suite does run exactly to size.

Wonderful looking (though not on me)
By Still Seeking Suit from Berkeley, CA on 08/05/2009
Pros:
Attractive Design, High Quality
Cons:
Poor Fit
Describe Yourself:
Athletic, Classic, Comfort-oriented
Cup Fit:
Feels true to size
Waist:
Feels too big
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I loved the fabric design and liked the suit, it just didn't fit me well. I've a long torso so normally order a larger size than I'd otherwise get. In this suit, that meant that there was a bit too much extra material in the seat and the waist, but the suit cut me in half. Alas....not a good fit....

The suit is great for laps with a rash guard over it. I didn't realize the back was so low and probably wouldn't have bought this suit if I had known.

overall good suit
By Vicky, Former Swimmer, Current Mom of 3 from Falls Church, VA on 08/03/2009
Pros:
Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Fit
Cons:
Lining Too Thin
Best Uses:
Beach, Swimming, Watersports
Describe Yourself:
Athletic, Comfort-oriented
Cup Fit:
Feels true to size
Waist:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
For the price, you really can't beat this suit for all-around practical use. The one drawback is that the lining is very light and thin: this doesn't cause a problem with the busier patterns, but can be an issue with the patterns that have wider swatches of the same color.

Cons:
Color can bleed

Comments:
I love this suit. I get compliments every time I wear it, it is very good looking. I wear it for swimming laps; it goes on easily, flatters my fairly fit 47 yr old body, covers all the parts I want to cover and stays put. It allows for full range of motion while swimming. My only con, the colors bled a bit when I left the wet suit in a bag after swim (had to go straight to work, no time to launder) but since I have the suit with big blue/green flowers on it, only I can tell. Wish STP had more suits in my size, I'd buy more.

Pretty suit, but too small for me!
By Badlands from Las Cruces, NM on 08/03/2009
Cons:
Not Enough Support, Poor Fit
Best Uses:
Swimming, Watersports
Describe Yourself:
Classic, Comfort-oriented
Cup Fit:
Feels too small
Waist:
Feels too small
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I have a big upper body and chest, and this little suit, while very pretty, just isn't flattering for a person with my build. A woman with a slimmer build would find this suit to be very nice, I think.

I loved the print, but it so didn't look good on a 40ish tad overweight mom. The back straps caused some unsightly rolls. (it may have been the cookies that caused the unsightly rolls)
