Comments:
I like order and minimalism because my time out there should be about the wild, not about fooling with stuff and mess. I have also experienced iffy weather and near disasters and want things to run smoothly should I need to depart an area quickly.

Eagle Creek Switchback 25" Wheeled Backpack - Internal Frame

looking forward to using this bag
By Still hikingVerified Reviewer from Cleveland, OH on 05/13/2009
Pros:
Distictive color, Lots of pockets, Sturdy Construction
Cons:
Hiking poles don't fit, Zippers are stiff
Best Uses:
Longer travel plans
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I have not been able to put this to immediate use - need to save some capital for that next hiking tour. I am hoping the distinctive color will make it easy to spot in baggage claim. The day pack does not detach as easily as I had hoped - perhaps I will be better at doing that with practice. I was also disappointed that my hiking poles sections still had to be pulled apart to fit in the largest compartment. Seems quite sturdy.

Eagle Creek Switchback 22" Wheeled Backpack - Internal Frame

worked great as a carry on bag
By stev eeee from San Diego, CA on 05/12/2009
Pros:
Compression Straps, Fits in overhead, Mapticket pocket
Best Uses:
4 day carry on bag
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This worked great as a wheeled carry on bag. It fit 4-5 days worth of clothes. The mesh pocket on the back of the suitcase front held reading material in an easy to find loaction. Also a map /ticket pocket on the front of the suitcase helped keep boading passes, maps, etc. just a zip away.

Comments:
This was our primary bag on a recent 2 week trip. It had enough space to hold everything we needed in a snug, well organized way. I have used Eagle Creek products for several years and have found them to be stronger and sturdier than other luggage. I have never had a problem with a broken zipper or handle. This bag appears to be the same high quality.
