Etonic Jepara SC Running Shoes - Weather Resistant (For Women)

excellent shoe
By E.A. from Steamboat Springs, CO on 09/15/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Good Traction
Cons:
Warm almost hot
Best Uses:
Trails, Wet Conditions, Winter Conditions
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Sizing:
Feels half size too small
Width:
Feels true to width
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I am a rocky mountain, trail running puddle jumping, sometimes in the creek runner. These shoes are perfect for these types of conditions. I hate getting a shoe a 1/2 size larger, but they fit perfectly this 1/2 size up. They are heavier in weight than normal runners and the inner sole is firm but comfortable. In dry conditions, your feet can get warm, but you likely have another pair of shoes for warmer/dryer climates. For trails with small stones/rocks, you can hardly feel them underneath. There is a major sole under you, hence the weight, however, I wanted a shoe that fits these conditions and these are fantastic. Highly recommend them for rugged running.

My Favorite Distance Running Shoe
By gladerunnerVerified Reviewer from The Beautiful South on 08/25/2008
Pros:
Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight
Best Uses:
Pavement, Track
Describe Yourself:
Competitive Athlete
Sizing:
Feels half size too small
Width:
Feels true to width
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This is my favorite shoe for routine pavement-pounding. The toe-box is a little wider than a Brooks shoe, which allows my forefoot the needed room to swell slightly, as will happen on a long run. The heel still fits snugly, and does not slide. The cushoining is ample, and my knees really appreciate it! I have now worn this shoe in 2 marathons, and for many many many training runs, and have LOVED it. It's the shoe I reach for first.

Comments:
This is my third pair of Etonic Jepara running shoes. I love the fit, stability, and cushioning. They are perfect for the gym (treadmill, step class) or outdoor walking/running. The description states that the shoes run a little small so order the next half size up--that is accurate. I normally wear a 9 to 9-1/2 but I ordered a 10 and they fit perfectly. The silver color is a little flashy, but you can't beat the price [...]

This is my third pair of these running shoes and they are the only brand and style I will buy. I bought my first pair years ago per the recommendation of a specialty shoe store when I was training for a marathon. They replaced a brand new pair of expensive Nike running shoes (recommended by a different specialty running store) that I had bought two months earlier. The Nike shoes did not provide anywhere near the support and stability that these shoes have. I was having issues with my arches, pronating, and getting bruised toenails. That all went away with these shoes. I do buy these shoes a full size larger than my normal everyday shoe size because that is the fit I need in a running shoe. I love these shoes and can't say enough good things about them.

Comments:
I found the sizing on this shoe just right, despite several conflicting reviews. I normally wear anywhere from a 10 - 11 in shoes. With walking shoes, I always choose an 11. These fit the same as my other 11s. I would like it to have more of an arch, though.

Can't improve on this deal. These shoes come wide and fit me and my custom orthotics. Insoles are removable so the fit is easy to adjust. Also, I do like a white shoe, but leather scuffs--these don't! What's not to like?? Thanks STP!
