Five Ten

Five Ten

Five Ten is a family-owned company dedicated to producing superior climbing shoes, approach shoes and outdoor footwear. Founded by veteran rock climber Charles Cole in 1985, Five Ten has been reinventing the climbing shoe since day one. Starting by creating an all-new, high-friction rubber compound for shoe soles that he would later dub "Stealth," Cole set out to enhance gripping power and make rock climbing safer in the process. Today, Five Ten climbing shoes like the Anasazi slipper and Prima shoe are worn by some of the world’s best rock climbers. In fact, even endorsed climbers who are paid to wear shoes by other companies resole with Five Ten’s Stealth climbing soles. When it comes to performance on the rock face, few other companies hold a candle to Five Ten shoes.

Comments:
This shoe is not meant to be comfortable (i wear 13 sneaker and got a size 12). This is the original down-turned, competition shoe. I love the V-10 for bouldering, steep rock, sport and competitions. Can't wait to unleash them during ABS season. The only drawback is the upper fabric is a bit baggy if you don't have a high volume foot, however once i climb in them for 20 hours or so the fabric should contract a little and conform to my foot. I could always use a strap to cinch it down. These things sold out quick. Amazing shoe!

It took me a few orders to finally get the right size, they seem to run a full size too small. Once I found the pair that fit, they are awesome. Great edging and stiff toe work. I really like them (nice color too).

53 yrs old, climbing since teen yrs, I like lace ups, much more adjustable. Excellent stickiness and seems durable. Sizes do run small, but I wear my climbing shoes very tight. We are climbing sport routes on sandstone and granite, mostly 5.9 to 5.11's. Good allaround shoe.

Comments:
This is my first pair of shoes. The only complaint I have is the loop pulls on the heel are sewn on the inside of the upper so they dig in to my heels but after the first week or so you get used to it and your feet tuffen up. like other have said order at least 1 1/2 sizes bigger. I wear a size 10 street shoe and i ordered these shoes in a 11.5 just top fit good.

these shoes have good grip. i usually wear a size ten for hiking, day-2-day and cleats. bought these shoes in a size 11, they felt great even after 45 minutes around the house, but after 15 minutes of climbing they were to small. should have gotten at least 1.5 or 2 sizes larger than normal.

Don't expect them to stretch at all. I tried getting 1/2 size smaller than my ascents and I couldn't get my feet into them.
