By Renegade from Milford, OH on 02/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good padding, Highly Adjustable, Large capacity, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As a backpack it is extremely comfortable due to the fact it is rather flexible. Backpacker Magazine got it right in 2003, it is simply a wonderful piece of gear. Wish it had a few more straps for trekking poles, etc., but still serves the purpose.
By kahlokitty77 from Buffalo, NY on 02/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good padding, Highly Adjustable, Large capacity, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this based on someone else's review and couldn't be happier with it! In the past I've had to borrow rigid daypacks and I find them cumbersome in comparision. We take trips that are boat access or hike in only and I needed something that will fit everything! This Daypack is definately the ticket. It's fitted for a woman and very comfortable. The Sierra trading Post gave me the info on how to measure properly if this is new to you.
By Crazy-J from Seoul, Korea on 02/17/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Tight Closure, Waterproof Best Uses: Adventure Racing, Backpacking Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the second of the Granite Gear drysacks I've owned. They are light, easy to pack, and seal well. The material is lightweight coated nylon and must be packed carefully to prevent damage (I tore my first bag shoving my tent poles in next to the bag).
By Jessica from Temple, TX on 12/13/2008 Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It holds true to its claim, no leaks when I used it.
By Dog Lady from Chicago, IL on 12/01/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, Strong Material Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Well made stuff sack. Time will tell how dry it keeps things.
By BK from Boise, ID on 11/19/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good padding, Large capacity, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have used this product for a wide variety of actvities ranging from international travel to week-long treks. It is very lightweight, yet the tepex frame is strong enough to carry loads from 40-50 pounds. The full zip load system (from both top and bottom) is extremely effective and has a wide variety of benefits. I can access all of my camping gear on a hike without having to dig through a top-loading bag, and when going through customs i can simply open up the entire bag if needed. Also, the removable internal top lid make organization and access to smaller items much easier. The back has also held up better than i expected to harsh treatment and heavier, tightly packed loads. The only drawbacks i can see are that there is no breathability between the pack and your back due to the solid foam layer. Also, for those interested in keeping a good appearance, when the pack is not fully loaded the top does look a bit goofy, and the compression straps make the pack look uneven. (This poses no problems in terms of functionality however) Finally, if one of the front zippers did happen to break, (which i believe would be very difficult to accomplish), the use of the pack would be greatly affected, if not ruined. Overall a great pack that, once you find a system of packing it, is extremely efficient and easy to use.
Nice size, great security for clothes By Dexter from canton, ga on 11/17/2008 Pros: Easy to pack, Lightweight Best Uses: Campgrounds, River Trips, Road Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Secure clothes from dampness while camping.
By Hikerchick from CA on 11/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good padding, Large capacity, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack will expand to 4500 cu. in. - you can put a bear can in the bottom and pack all your gear in it. You can use the straps to compress it down for day hiking, or stuff it full and go for days. It's meant to carry up to 40 lbs - haven't had that much in it, but 25 lbs doesn't feel like it's there with this pack. I'm looking forward to years of great 2-7 day backpacking trips with my Ozone. The price is a steal and this is replacing my Osprey.
By Matt the Californian from East Bay, CA on 09/09/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, Tight Closure, Waterproof Best Uses: Adventure Racing, Backpacking, Paddling, Sailing Describe Yourself: Competitive Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Not sure what the other review is complaining about. My little GG bag works just fine. The GG stuff sacks are only rated waterproof to 200 psi. So if you want something that you can completely submerge into water, you might look for a different kind of dry bag. But for general waterproof care, I highly recommend them. They are light and do the job. Same goes for the larger sizes as a well. I bought one of each, and they come in handy
