By Ozarkrambler from Missouri on 10/28/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Lightweight Best Uses: Day Hikes, Fastpacking, Light Loads, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this pack! Good access, interesting combination of gossamer ripstop, functional padding, and tough hems. I love this pack in spite of the fact the torso length is too short for me (5'6"). Possibly the best part of the design is the shoulder-hugging harness, the worst part is the inaccessible side-pockets which I use for water bottles. Never mind the complaints, this is a well-designed and very light pack that I expect to use a lot.
Great backpack for weekend trips By surefooted frank from Rogers, Arkansas on 10/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Delicate, Weak Seams Best Uses: Day Hikes, Extended Hikes, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: overall this pack seems to be made well. Gregory has been a big name in backpacks for some time.
It is constructed of ultralight ripstop materials that seem delicate but I havent really put them to the test yet although I wouldn't go bushwacking with it. But seems to be perfect for a go lite type hiker that can keep it on the trail.
Excellent backpacking pack By Amber from Upstate New York on 10/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Lightweight Best Uses: Day Hikes, Extended Hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: What makes this pack especially great is the way the back piece arches away from your back to provide a space for air to flow and cool you off (the "Jet Stream"). The weight is nicely distributed onto your hips. Everything is wonderfully adjustable and really does fit better than mens' packs. I hardly felt the pack after many days on the trail. I pack on the light size but am certainly not an ultralight hiker. The fabric is strong, water resistant, everything is very well made, there are many pockets for organization.
The one minor thing I don't like about the pack is the water bottle holders that don't keep 32 oz bottles in very well. It makes up for it in that is is compatible with a hydration reservoir (not included).
I take a size M and am 5'6". Recently used this on a week on the Appalachian Trail. I carried cold weather gear (nights were below 30' F), fuel, stove, 3-4 days of food, half of a tent. A great deal!!

By SEW from Hartland, VT on 10/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Highly Adjustable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have not used this yet, but it fits a women's frame well, is very lightweight and has enough pockets to be able to organize things well.
By andrewaustinpowers from Parry Sound Ont Canada on 10/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy to add stuff outside, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Lightweight Best Uses: Day Hikes, Light Loads, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: So for the bag has been really good haven't had any problems with it. It is made to have most of your stuff outside of the bag so if that's not your style than this bag is not for you. It can easily hold up 45 pounds but not so good for longer hikes as it doesn't have a internal frame. I like it and I got it for a hitchhiking trip which I have done yet but having used it for some camping and hiking and I think that it will be good. Happy camp. Images shared by: andrewaustinpowers
