By Ibex doc from Oakland on 10/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Padding, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this pack because I have the Gregory Icarus and I wanted to drop a few ounces of weight when I run with a pack. This pack adjusts easily to provide minimum sway with one exception. The sternal strap is very difficult to move up and down, on the Icarus you can slide it up and down with one hand as you run, with the Reactor you have to take off the pack and snap off the sternal strap to make any adjustments...a real bummer if you like to make slight adjustments on the go.
The side pockets are an improvement versus the Icarus, holds things better. The Reactor has lots of little places to put things and I like the little cell phone/key pocket on the waist strap. It is a very small pack, so if you want to carry a larger load you are out of luck. But to stash a set of light pants and shirt, with a book and water bottle, then the pack will work well for you.
By Taelaw from SW Ohio on 10/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Lightweight Best Uses: Day Hikes, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very comfortable, well made day pack. Hydration bladder (not included) cuts capacity, but fine for day hikes and the "Ten Essentials". Also bought the smaller version for wife. She loves it.

By montana momma from Whitefish, MT on 10/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Lightweight Best Uses: Day Hikes, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this pack for day use, skiing and hiking, but the material seems like a paper thin wind jacket. Good for lightweight but I can't imagine it would hold up to much abuse and doesn't seem at all waterproof. Unfortunately Im going to have return it.

Although it has a limited capacity, I find that it has enough compartments to hold items I would need for a day hike.
Very Comfortable Day Pack By rebma from Truckee,CA on 10/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Large Capacity Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Got this pack becuase I hike a lot with my 2 dogs and need to carry lots of water for them and me. My regular daypack killed my shoulders and neck with all that dead weight. I carried a 100 OZ Camelback and 4 one liter Nalgenes plus fleece, windbreaker and food for about 10 miles. Pack was super comfy and still had tons of room. My back did not sweat at all, shoulders and back felt like I didn't carry anything the next day. So good I bought one for my wife. I'm 6-1 and thin and a medium fits perfect.
By awkaboo from wyoming on 10/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity, Lightweight Best Uses: Day Hikes, Light Loads, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this as a gift, but I was pleased with what I received. So, I have not personally 'tried-it-out'. I did try it on for fit and think it will be great to adjust and make just right.
Carried 3 days of gear into Havasupai! By Hiker Girl from Prescott, AZ on 10/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good padding, Highly Adjustable Best Uses: Backpacking, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just got back from a 3 day trip into Havasupai (8 miles in and roughly 2 miles from the lodge daily into Havasu Falls, Mooney Falls, etc. This pack carried 3 days clothing; trail mix for in/out of the canyon; my camel pack with 1/2 gallon water, plus 2 24oz bottles for our day trips; apples; my Keen sandals for the day trips into the waterfalls; a full size beach towel; my swimsuit, a book, first aid kit and bathroom essential kit. I rated this item before my trip as 5 stars and would give it that rating + after hiking with it into the Canyon and out again. Perfect fit for a woman and although it is small, with creative packing it held all I needed!
Sierra Products rock!!!
Plenty of room, solid zippers, good bala By mikethewriter from San Diego, CA on 10/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity Best Uses: Extended Hikes, Light Loads, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I recently bought this backpack for a permanent cross country change of address. I was able to fit just about all of the t-shirts, under garments, a few pairs of pants and shorts and even extra sneakers. It was definitely overstuffed but the zippers seem like they are holding up pretty well. The top compartment has enough room to fit all personal items. The sleeping bag straps are always a nice touch as well. While there is no front loading option, there is a bottom option, however limited.
