Great Jacket - Exceeded expectations By Tele 'troller from Layton, Utah on 10/12/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Jacket came just in time for our annual lift evacuation training(NSP). Snowy in AM with broken cloud cover and 30 degrees early PM. 20-30 MPH gusts throughout - elevation 9K. Proven wind proof and capacity to shed light moisture. I was never cold; had to vent actually after about 5 belays - breathability was noteworthy. I got this on sale for less $100 - it is as good as any Arcteryx we own. Only con is that the front zipper sticks. Overall - amazing.
It did everything I expected. By Scott the bird hunter from Dallas on 10/12/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been looking for a soft shell vest to meet the needs of an upland bird hunter. The Ibex vest fits the bill in every respect, including color.
A stylish yet useful garment By Clothes Horse from Lyndeborough, NH on 10/09/2009 Pros: Flattering, Soft, Stylish, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Night Out, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am not usually a sweater wearer, but I was interested in this one for its styling, with the assymmetrical full length zipper, while still having the practical features of side entry pockets and a high neck for warmth. All of those features work well for me and I expect that I will get lots of use out of this garment. The Merino wool is lovely - soft and not the least bit itchy. I will most often wear it with jeans or other casual pants, but it could just as easily be worn over a skirt, or with dressier slacks.

Will serve the use that I had intended.
By Bird Girl from South Lake Tahoe, California on 10/07/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Stylish, Versatile Cons: Too snug in hip area Best Uses: Backpacking, Casual Wear, Skiing, Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm on my second Cirque jacket, having purchased the first one in 1999. It's a perfect jacket for backpacking, cross-country skiing, and with a base layer and sweater underneath, a great backcountry and in-bounds ski jacket. It is not a rain jacket, but will shed light amounts of moisture. The only time I wear a shell over it is during wet snow storms or in rainy weather. It breathes very well, and as a result is not completely wind-proof. It doesn't stink even after a week of use backpacking.
My only complaint is this jacket seems to run small in the hips. I am 5'4" and a fit and muscular 140 pounds. I had to buy the large because the medium won't stay put over my hips. It rides up to my narrow waist and stays there. Having to wear a large makes the sleeves a touch long for me, but with the elastic at the wrist, the sleeves don't fall over my hands. Just a little more room--an inch or so--in the hip area would have made it possible to purchase the medium.
By IbexHappy from Hyde Park, NY on 10/02/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: If you are not used to this type of jacket it may take some getting used to as it did for me but after about a week I fell in love with it and really like it a lot. If I had to pick a complaint its that the sleeves are a bit tight and short but not to the extent that it is a problem at all.

By skeletor from seattle, wa on 10/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: only thing I'd like different is the cuffs. Rather have a draw string or velcro tighteners instead of them being permanently cinched

By peacegrrl from Nevada City, CA on 09/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Great Color, Lightweight, Soft, Stylish, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually wear smalls (5'6", 120 lbs, very fit) but in Ibex I have found I am a medium - the shape is a bit boxy and the sleeves are nice and long. Most of all it is so soft and warm and the color is beautiful - looking forward to cool weather so I can wear it!
