The idea for Royal Robbins shorts began on a trail in Yosemite as climbing partners Liz and Royal Robbins discovered that they were unable to find a pair of shorts which suited their active lifestyles. The demands of their lives led to the creation of exceptional Royal Robbins outdoor & travel clothing, which balanced technical features with classic designs. Royal Robbins’ first shorts, Billy Goat Hiking Shorts, still remain their most popular shorts because of the care and practicality that went into designing them.
