Salomon Snowboards |
| If peak performance is your goal on the hill this year, then you want top of the line gear. With Salomon snowboards and bindings you get just that. Salomon’s reputation precedes them, bringing the best in snowboard and binding design to the riders world. With features like an aspen wood core for just the right flex, and rubber SWS inlay construction underfoot for chatter reduction and a smoother ride, you’ll be cruising the park or airing it out on the pipe in shredder paradise. Whether you’re just starting out or you can’t remember how many epic days they found you lying at the bottom of the mountain, P-Tex up, totally spent after a long day, there is a Salomon snowboard at Sierra Trading Post with your name on it. |

By D from Eugene, OR on 10/05/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Trail Running, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes have great support! I have a high arch, and slight turn out on one foot if I don't pay attention. My arches feel good, and when I wear these shoes I don't have the turn out problem. The shoes have a snug heel (the support comes from the heel and the inner rear arch), and a little lateral room in the toe box, which is good for running. The sole is stiffer than a running shoe, but just the right amount of flexibility for trail running. The sole might be a little slippery on wet asphalt due to the harder material, but they are perfect for trails. They are waterproof. Breathability is good, but they get warm. The warmth is nice though this time of year. I thought the yellow trim would be a little much, but it looks fine. Besides you can't go wrong wearing green or bright yellow. Go Ducks!!!
GREAT BUT SIZED A BIT BIG By leslieinok from Bixby, Oklahoma on 10/01/2008 Pros: ADJUSTABLE, Durable, Easy On and Off, Good Traction, VENTED SOLE Describe Yourself: Advanced User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I teach water aerobics and wear mine all the time. They came about a half size big but the adjustments built in took care of that. They stay on very well and I would buy them again. At first they weren't the most comfy but it only took a couple of weeks til they softened up. Online it is hard to tell if a shoe has vents in the sole. These do.
No Blisters, but squeaky! By hiker girl from New Jersey on 09/24/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Went hiking for a week in Utah, brand new- totally comfortable, never a blister! I was able to adjust the laces with some simple single knots to allow a little forefoot slack with a snug ankle for support. They are remarkably comfortable, but along with that is that the sole is soft and I did feel a lot of the rocks under foot. They squeaked like CRAZY!! A little distracting while trying to bond with nature!
