By Camo Cyclist from Murfreesboro, TN on 10/22/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Probably not the best panniers out there, but if you just want the look but don't want to spend a lot on high quality panniers, these will fill the bill. Probably good for low mileage commuting and day patrol. Might not last very long nor be capacious enough for long distance touring.
By New commuter biker from DC metro area on 08/10/2009 Pros: Large Capacity, Secure Straps Cons: Not Enough Pockets, Poor Construction Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is an extremely weak-appearing product and I plan to return it. The fabric is basic nylon, nothing rip-stop or durable about it. The fabric moves too much and makes it hard to even unzip, and I'm afraid it will rip if I pull too hard. The attachments fit on my rack very well. However, there is no piece included that connects the two panniers, unlike as shown in the blue photo from the main screen or the red detail photo. I would have liked this to stabilize them to my rack and help with carrying. I like that they are angled to avoid interference with pedals, that they are rather large, and the reflective stripe on the back, but I think they are too cheaply made for my purposes and I will return them.
By Bob M from Keweenaw on 05/04/2009 Best Uses: Mountain Biking, Road Riding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They're a bit cheaply made, but also cheaply priced. Seems like they will last a good while; zippers needed a bit of wax to lube them. Very easy to install (requires a rack).
