About Sorel for Men
Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it’s not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1908 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel’s advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today’s active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel. ... By BigA from Wheeling, IL on 11/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Lightweight Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The boots are lightweight and comfortable. I ordered the boots one size smaller than I normally wear and they fit my narrow feet very well. They will be great for shoveling the driveway and other active wintertime activities. I will give the boots the acid test this winter when I go ice fishing.
By Eulalee from Harrisburg, PA on 11/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use them to keep my feet warm at football games and for winter camping.
The fit is true for me--with thick socks.
The top is a little stiff, but feels like it will loosen with use.
By A Girl and Her Dog from Chicago, IL on 11/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm not sure I'd be hiking in these, but they are warm, have good traction and would be great for winter resort evenings, city walking in snow. Because they're a short boot, they might not be best for deep snow.
