Founded by Scottish immigrant Alexander MacRae in 1914 as a knitting mill, the Speedo line of swimwear captured its first trophy in a competition held in 1928. I ordered a 12 and I usually wear a 10 or 12 dress/pants. The overall size of the suit is fine, but there seems to be extra fabric around the middle (it's not tight in the middle like the rest of the suit). But the color (blue/green) and design is pretty and the price was right.

With that taken into account, it is a good fit. I'm a Master's swimmer/triathlete and go through suits quickly. Speedos hold up well if properly taken care of (rinsing out after swim, washing with gentle detergent and laid flat to dry)
