Spyderco |
| Spyderco is more than just another knife brand. Spyderco has an image all its own, which conveys individuality, resourcefulness and a "don’t mess with me" attitude. The Spyderco image was cultivated by the first knives the company offered, which showed off the company’s patented SpyderEdge serrated blade that increases a knife’s effective cutting edge length. The classic Spyderco knife is a lockback knife with a trademarked Spyderco Round Hole for one-handed opening and an ultra-smooth opening mechanism. Most Spyderco lockback knives also feature a pocket clip and/or lanyard hole for fast access. A Spyderco knife is made to last, which is why the company uses stainless steel construction and advanced metal alloys like cobalt-enriched VG-10 steel for a sturdier, sharper and more durable knife. |

Flat-Grind Spyderco Performer By Firefighter from Mason City, Iowa on 07/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Compact, Durable, Sharp Blade, Versatile Best Uses: River Trips, Survival Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been carrying a Spyderco Delica serrated knife daily since the first clipit knives came out about 1990. I have always been impressed with the pure cutting power of the Spyder Serration.
These newer knives with the G-10 handles and Stainless Steel liners feel very solid, and now with a flat grind, perform even better. ( In straight blade knives (not serrated), I prefer the flat grind for performance sake.
Nice Knife But Not One of The Best By kfstennis from Greensboro, NC on 06/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Compact, Sharp Blade Cons: Fit Into Seath is Loose Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice, but not the best I've seen of owned. The fit of the knife into the sheath is very loose.
