Stapf of Tyrolean Alps |
| Crafted in the breathtaking Tyrolean Alps of Austria, Stapf (and its sister company, Wesenjak) is rooted in the history of the region. Stapf's signature boiled wool processing method begins with a loose weave that is pre-shrunk in natural spring water so that the fibers crimp together and create a wonderful barrier against cold and wind. Stapf produces finely crafted wool jackets, vests and slippers. With crowd pleasers like etched metal buttons, decorative welt pockets and the classic boucle look, Stapf typifies old world style and charm, and lends sincerity and appeal to that "relaxing by the fire" après-ski ambience. |

Comments: This classic jacket works with casual pants or dressy slacks, can be dressed up or down. Thick lovely boiled wool, with nice nap, warm, and well made. I have been searching for classical boiled wool jackets, having worn one for many years. This fits the bill nicely. I particularly like the fitted style, short length, and proportioned flared sleeve.
