About Stegmann of Germany
Stegmann is home to the original wool clog, which has been handmade in Bavaria since 1888. Right from the beginning, Karl Stegmann believed in using natural materials like 100% pure wool, supple leathers, and foot-conforming cork to create footwear known the world over for its pure, unadulterated comfort. Stegmann wool clogs are made from seamless dense felt that keeps feet warm in winter and cool in summer. They do run small, I ordered one size up and probably could have gone up 1/2 size more. The metal ring does limit flexibility. They are just fine for puttering around the house and the footbed is comfortable.

I'm a sensible shoe gal--no high heels or strappy sandals in my closet. When it comes to dressing up a bit, especially in summer, I'm shoe-challenged. This Stegmann sandal lets me show off a pedicure without twisting an ankle or ending up with blisters. They're comfortable and cute without being too cutesy.

I have two pair of Stegmanns from STP that are fabulous, especially now that I know to order up a size. Comfy footbed, great looking, sturdy. These are adorable, but the straps gapped too much and rested too far above the instep to stay on when i walked. Felt like I'd accidentally slipped on Daddy's shoes....
