Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This blanket has a very strong moth ball/chemical(?) smell. I washed it twice, and used a cup of white vinegar to get rid of the smell, which it did. There is a bit of piling at first, so you need to pick off the excess wool, but it is wool, soft, warm, and attractive. I am glad that I purchased it, and am tempted to buy another. It can sit at the end of a bed beautifully. We have it on the back of our sofa at our beach home.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: [...] Probably will use as dog blanket as it is much thicker that I thought it would be. The smell wasn't as strong as some reviewers suggested. At least now after reading other people's reviews i know I can wash it as there's no care labels on it.
