very pleased with quality, look and feel of watch...I'm not very fancy person and have worn Timex Triathalon watch all the time for years (had an old Bulova that gave out.) Finally decided I need a watch that looked a little sharper for business wear or formal occasions but wanted a classic style that was practical and durable too, plus NOT made in China! This Hanowa watch is all that AND affordable!

I bought the Hanowa Chronograph with the regular stainless band and case a couple of years ago and have been thoroughly satisfied with the quality and reliability of it. So I decided to pick up the black version. It's a bit on the shiny side at first but wearing it around quickly takes just a bit of the sheen off making the watch look classy and understated. Overall it's a great timepiece. Oh, and to set the alarm you simply pull the crown out to the date adjustment and then turn it the oposite way that you would to change the date.

Nice, easy to read face without too many bells and whistles. Looks good for daily use and can also dress up a bit. A bit heavier and bigger than expected. Had to take it to the watch store to remove links to adjust size. Seems like nice quality.
