Somewhat stiff in presentation and a bit heavy compared to a Sage rod in same wt and price range.

The fact that two tip sections were included is novel for current rods. My problem with it is that the design and finish of both the rod and reel seat were just not traditional enough to suit me. The attempt to be unique went just a little too far in my opinion. I own a lot of rods and just couldn't warm up to this design.
For the price and excellent buy By Mikey from Puyallup, Washington on 11/06/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this rod as a back-up rod for my Certified Casting Instructor test in August 2010. Distance casting at 75 to 80 feet is not a problem. Rod loads well with any weight forward line. Its a good fresh water rod but not a good salt-water rod, due to the way the reel-seat was made. To many areas to clean, and salt can cause lots of problems.
