The Red color is much deeper than the picture and fabric is textured much like wool, but not scratchy.
Warning: Coat has a definite taper to the waist. She is on the slim (not thin) side and this coat fits like it was custom tailored. Very flattering, and again she is very picky.
Highly recommended, at this price it's a tremendous bargain.
