Great bike for a tall gal
By L.W. from Los Angeles on 01/10/2009 Pros:
Good Value, High Quality
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I'm 5'11" with shorter-than-average arms, so finding a road bike that fits has been really hard. All of the major manufacturers that make women-specific bikes don't make them for women over 5'9". This bike fits like a glove.
I was wary of spending so much for a bike over the Internet. But the bike was easy to assemble, if you know a little bit about bike repair. I didn't have to adjust the derailleurs.
The frame arrived with a little scratch on the top tube, but no major damage.
I swapped out the pedals because I use a different kind of cleat on my shoe but the ones that come with it have a side for using with cycling shoes and a side for street shoes. I also changed the tires for wider, thorn-resistant ones as I live in an urban area.

Got the men's as most of the women's saddles are just too wide. Good fit, cut out helps.

Saddle tech has come a long way in the past decade. Now that I'm riding again, it's nice to have some comfy saddles filter down to a reasonable price level. Gotta ride now . . .
