It was a good 12 inches smaller than another 2X nightgown that I had ordered, which fit me. I think the 3x would fit a 1x or less.
The material is thin and a little transparent and the cut is straight down to almost my ankle with no slits for walking.
Needless to say, this item got a prompt return.

By cindy from SC on 10/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Nice Design, Soft, Washes Well, Well Made, Wicks Best Uses: Cool Nights, Lounging, Sleeping, Warm Weather Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I take tomoxifen which causes extreme sweating. Last winter, I got so wet, I work up shivering several times a night. This gown wicks most of the moisture from my skin and I've not had any shivering.
