William Joseph |
| Located near the Wasatch mountains in Utah, William Joseph started out by making advanced, high-quality packs for mountaineering. The fishing angle (pardon the pun) came about by accident when everyone realized customers were hauling more fishing gear in these packs than they were climbing gear. So William Joseph surrendered to this apparent market need and narrowed the focus to fly-fishing equipment. Today anglers around the world are discovering the superlative quality and practical engineering of William Joseph’s fly fishing packs, tools, accessories and apparel. You don't have to fish to love this ingeniously designed product line. You just have to love the outdoors. |

another great product by William Joseph By basecamp Gangtok from Northeastern USA on 06/29/2009 Pros: Adequate pockets, All day comfort, Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional, Great suspension, Well Designed Cons: A bit on the heavy side Best Uses: Fresh Water, Traveling Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I fly fish almost all year round and i use this pack for all of my long day outings. it has enough capacity for clothing and gear to keep me happy during an early spring steelheading trip. Also, it is equally useful for a summer hiking/fly fishing trip to a secluded trout creek.
The pack fabric is amazingly abrasion resistance and durable. Thorns, brush, sharp rocks, water, snow, and ice - nothing caused any damage damage ti the fabric yet. Washing and cleaning is easy and quick.
I also like the suspension design because it is light and supportive. When the pack is full, the weight is distributed evenly. I did not feel any particular pressure point. The adjustable suspension system also makes it easy to get a comfortable fit and feel. Finally, as the suspension also lets air flow through the back side, it manages sweat and moisture impressively well.
Overall a very good pack for fishing/hiking day trips. on mid winter fishing trips, I wish the pack had a bit more space like 2000-2400 cui range. Also, the price is a bit high for a fishing pack. Other than that this is a solid and reliable product from William Joseph.
Very nice but zingers aren't included By Heartland from usa on 06/21/2009 Best Uses: Fresh Water, Traveling Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is good pack. However, be aware that if you've looked at it from other sources, as I did, this one from Sierra Trading Post doesn't include the two spectra gear retractors.
By B from san jose, CA on 06/21/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: holds enough equipment and flys yet small enough to carry on the body and not be in the way
