Light as a feather and stiff as a board By Jesse from Tucson, AZ on 09/20/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love these cranks!
Come on, these are solid cranks! By Fletch Lives from Issaquah, WA on 08/08/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Buy these and have them installed by your local bike shop. Then ride them for thousands and thousands of miles! I don't buy the criticism at all. Most riders don't have the tools to do this work anyway and any shop worth their grease will easily set you up with zero issue. As to the BB, make sure you get the correct one, period. Not difficult.
These are very stiff, very light, look great, don't creak, wonderful cranks. FWIW, I use them on my Cervelo R3-SL - one of the best bikes i the world - and they are excellent.
By humboldt's roads from Arcata, CA on 01/11/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Sexy, Stiff Cons: Spendy, Tough to Install Describe Yourself: Competitive Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Do I like my 300's? Well yeah, but you should have a nice product for the outrageous MSRP. I don't love them, however. Myself or my bike techs could not get these cranks to work with any ISIS bb other than the one Zipp sells. My cranks were purchased independently from the bb, and it was extremely difficult for me to track one down at the time. Shifting is clunkier than with my Ultegra level shimanos. They are however, as they claim, the lightest and stiffest cranks on the market. I abuse my bike on rough roads, in muddy conditions, on gravel, in my car, wherever, and these [*]'s are tough.
