ABO Gear Aerodome 5-in-1 Beach Shelter

I got this tent to set up as a sun shade at a music festival in sunny, hot California this year. The construction isn't as good as I wood take backpacking, but for the price it will be perfect for creating a sun shade at concerts and at the beach.

After using this only 3 times, one of the tent's arms broke during a moderately breezy day at the beach. I would hope for a more reliable product, but am realistic and realize that things do break from time to time. After sending several emails to Abogear that weren't responded to, I decided to call the company directly. I spoke with a Tony who was less than helpful, and took a "tough luck" approach to my issue. Bottom line: This product is cheaply made, and the customer service when you need to repair it is even worse. I would strongly recommend that you do not waste your money like I did, and save yourself from the frustration and insult when attempting to get assistance from their "customer service" department.

I bought this to take to Ft. Myers beach this winter. Set it up in yard after receipt. Easy set-up. Threading poles is a bit of a pain, as some have commented, since the tension rods come apart easily, but otherwise, it appears to be very servicable. I like that it has sand pockets so that it can be anchored right away and can be held in place while I'm putting it together. I'm keeping it--looks to be a good buy.
