Closeouts. Nothing says summer quite like an afternoon kicked back in the hammock, and ABO Gear's Backpacking hammock is as portable as can be. Lightweight and compressible polyester packs down small enough to store in a backpack, and has a handy side pocket for holding small items.

    No mosquito netting

    Backyard

    Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I had hoped to eliminate the extra bulk and weight of a tent on various backpacking and canoe trips during the summer. The lack of any mosquito netting resulted in my not even setting up the hammock between trees and simply examining the material and workmanship. If insects were not a worry I would seriously consider keeping this hammock since it was reasonably priced, looked like it was securely made, and was lightweight.

Great hammock to take anywhere- parks, hiking, camping, or your backyard. Easy to set-up, takes less than a minute. This is the second one I've purchased, this time as a gift. Goes great with ENO slap straps to easily adjust the distance between two anchor points. Highly recommended!!

This is my first hammock so I don't have much to compare it to other than a couple of others I've played with from other people I've camped with. The material is breathable, has it's own carry pouch attached to the hammock and I find it as comfortable as the ENO's, especially at this price point! The one big downside I see is the metal S shaped "hooks". I'm sure they work but I replaced them with caribeaners just to be on the safe side. I cannot comment on durability as I haven't had it long enough but as long as I get enough use out of it to get my money's worth I'm a happy camper (pun intended).

This is a really great hammock. Don't waste your hard earned money on an "ENO". This hammocks packs down to softball size, yet is still as wide as most "double" hammocks, at 74". This extra space makes up for no mosquito netting, which i've noticed as some peoples cons, because you can put your headlamp or something of a little weight in the pocket and the fling the pocket over you and the hammock cacoons around you, closing out the bugs. the extra room also allows for a sleeping pad and large sleeping bag for those really cold nights, I would certainly recommend this to anyone
