ABO Gear Dog Digs Pet Travel Crate - Large

I had a tough time finding a crate that would fit in the back of a Honda Element (width wise) so I was happy when I found this one at Sierra Trading Post. I like that it has a front and top opening/vent though it would have been nice to have a third vent on the back or left or right side.

My 70 lb husky does not fit in the large size very well.

This was fantastic quality but entirely too large! Probably my fault for not paying enough attention to measurements but it would not fit in the back of my Jeep and cost a fortune to return. Just something to be aware of....

I have border collies who weigh between 35 - 40lbs. This crate is the perfect size for them but would be cramped for larger dogs. Having recently traveled with a common wire crate, I'm looking forward to using this much lighter one that also packs small and won't clatter around in the back of my car. I recommend it only for well-mannered dogs who are used to being crated as its fabric and mesh construction will not stand up to a dog who is determined to get out.

I am involved in search and rescue and have to stay overnight often and pack on a moments notice. This crate is great for that. It is lightweight for when I have to carry it a distance. I am glad I ordered the large as it would be crampy for my German Shepherd but my Austrailian cattle dog can lay down in it with plenty of room. It is tall and so very easy to pop up. If my dogs were scratchers or chewers they would escape out of it in a heartbeat but I have used small pop-up type kennels before with my dog that normally scratches the door of her wire cage but never scratched the nylon one. I am hoping for the same results with this one. I love the portability of it, too bad they don't have an extra large for my bigger dog.
