ABO Gear Dog Digs Pet Travel Crate - Large

I bought this crate to use for my 27 pound sheltie at agility trials. He loves it! The size is a little big for him, but when he needs to be crated for most of the day at a trial it allows him to move around a bit. The door is large and on the side so I face it out so he has a good view of the action. The top also zips open if you wanted more ventilation. I will only be using it for winter indoor trials so I am not concerned about the crate not having enough windows. I also purchased a rectangular large Ollie bed that fits perfectly in the bottom. If you have a dog that chews you would not want to purchase this type of crate.

Should have purchased this before getting one of those heavy metal crates or our big boxy plastic one. This is our 3rd crate purchase and its great! Our dog loves to get in it and relax, I can see through the mesh when its in the back of the car which is nice and I have literally assembled it with one hand. I will be getting a lot of use out of this crate.

I use this crate in my car for search and rescue training and travel. It folds up quickly and easily when not in use and has a really nice travel case also. Yet its strong enough to hold a large active dog!!

My Labrador is most happy when he gets to join his family on outdoor outings. But his dog hair, along with dirty/wet paws have prevented him from joining us as often as he would like to, until now! I am so happy to have discovered this travel dog crate. The large crate is the perfect size for my 80 lb. Lab and fits well in the back of my Honda Element. It takes no time at all to set up, it's light, and all I needed to add to make it comfortable for my dog was a fleece pet blanket.

I purchased the exact same one from STP a couple of years ago to use when traveling and have loved it. Although the first purchase did not need replacing and has held up perfectly fine, thought I'd get another one at a great price. Now this second crate has replaced the standard crate in our house for sleeping. This crate has a large, wide entrance which our dog needed because she was required to wear a cone for a while. No troubles getting in or out as opposed to the non-traveling type crates that have smaller openings which the cone could not fit through. This crate is very easy to assemble and disassemble. The sack is about the size of one of those portable chair sacks. Our dog gets all excited when she sees the crate sack being put in the car. Great for unfamiliar environments like hotels or rental properties where she can sleep in her own familiar surroundings. Our dog is a border collie mix and I would not have used this type of crate to train her because it is made of canvas. But it has been perfect for her as an adult since she continues to like the comfort of having her own space. This crate receives 5 stars because it has definitely proven itself with sturdiness, portability and ease of use over the past couple of years.

A wonderful device for travel

I have a 80 lb yellow lab. He is not a chewer. There are no loose components but I would be concerned if he was overly aggressive.

I use this crate for temporary housing while traveling, at shows, at dog training classes for standard poodles (65 lb dogs). The best thing is the way it folds - it folds like an umbrella stroller, so it fits in a small car. It sets up easy and its easy to carry. Negatives: the dog door is on the long side, so my dog rests against the back and can tip the crate over on its back side unless I set the crate by a wall or tree. Also, it has less ventilation than most crates.
