“Mine is very tough, and I am surprised that others have had them rip so easily. It is not played with every day as my dog isn't always here, but after almost a year there are really no signs of wear. He, the dog, is more of a fetch and chew fella than an attack and destroy dog, so other dogs might wear it out faster, but the thing has been outside in the elements and not suffered. It's heavy, abrasion resistant, and easy to hold on to. It does get pretty soggy after a rain, tho, and therefore pretty gross. That's why this stays outside. It dries out if left in the sun, altho this can take a while.”
