This toy won't last forever--no really fun toy does--and it isn't tough enough for a dog to play with unsupervised--no really fun toy is--but it will be fun for tug games and for playing fetch. It's great to have a "special toy" to reward a dog when we're training and a leather toy provides something different from all the other rubber, cloth or squeaky toys. It's not a chew toy, though, so don't expect it to stand up to that kind of treatment.

I had high hopes for this product when I saw the beautiful leather exterior. I have 2 dogs a 4 yr old retriever and 1.5 yr old husky mix. They disemboweled both toys in less than 6 hours. Luckily neither tried to eat the stuffing.

great throwing dummy for training/playing. would not describe as medium in size though----rather small for labradors, but my 2 have enjoyed retrieving it; just not sure at times if they actually have it due to size. my sister's corgi thinks it is great!!!

The lab chewed it up just in a few minutes, had to take it away from her the first day she got it. Would be better for other dogs.
