I was surprised when I opened the package and found such a nice stand. The first thing I noticed was how thick the tubing is. This is a stand that will definately last as long as I will need it. It has no problem holding the weight of two people.

This is great, nice and solid, heavy, but that's what you want in something supporting your body weight. I have no real problem dragging it around the yard to follow the sun, and I'm no gym rat. It has a really excellent powder coat painted finish, and was quite easy to assemble.

So, this took all of maybe 30 min. to put together and I am 5 months pregnant. Easy! It's not as sturdy as two strong trees's but holds the weight so far. Me and both my kids were in the hammock together and no problems. One thing to be aware of is that if you have a very large hammock (which I do, it is a family size), is that the poles will pull in when you get in the hammock. I had to ditch the chain on one side and just use the clip on one side to get it off the ground. It works great however and this is a fantastic deal.

THe set up was difficult in that we had to file some of the welds inside the tubing in order for it to fit together. Also the u-bolt and chains to attach the hammock were not included. I had to go to the hardware store and purchase s-rings in order to hang the hammock. Lastly, once the hammock is in place the stand 'collapses' a bit with the weight and isn't that sturdy. I would not recommend this product.

I managed to make this hammock stand fit on my porch by not using all the pieces (making it shorter) and it works well. All the metal pieces should be painted to protect against rust. You could do this yourself.

This stand is REALLY big (it kinda takes up half my backyard), but it does easily come apart into 6 sections so it can be stored over the winter compactly. It seems sturdy, definitely enough so for 2 people. I'm not sure I'd buy it again, though, because it is the largest hammock stand I've ever seen.
