ABO Gear Sunmate Shelter - 84x48"

The SunMate was easy to set up, with shock-corded poles similar to tents. Two adults plus gear can easily fit under it, and maybe a small child too. It blocked a lot of the sun (on the beach) but allowed the breeze to blow through. We used two stakes and cords on the upwind side to secure it. It packs away easily.

perfect for the beach. the next time i'll put a towel over the top, and secure with clothespins (for extra sun coverage) BUT the tent provided a decent amount of shade on a HOT and sunny day. it also held up well to the wind.

light and small enough to carry on bike

This goes to the beach with us when it is more on the windy side. We put the back towards the wind and it keeps the sand from blowing in. It's also nice to be able to eat lunch without the sand getting into your food.

We have been looking for awhile for a good quality cabana to take to the beach with us for our little guy. I'm glad we purchased this. It is very easy to setup, comes with stakes and sand pockets. I haven't used it at the beach yet, but it has been used to protect our youngest during some soccer games and on a picnic. The only downside is that later in the evening a little more sun than I like comes in through the mesh sides. The same sides however allow the wind to keep the cabana cool without the wind wanting to take the shelter away like a kite. Bottom line: I would buy it again :)

Was a little fiddly to set up as it's difficult to align all the poles at the same time. Otherwise, a great buy that will come in handy at the beach with kids

Excited to try with our son on the beach this summer. Hoping that it will protect him from the rays enough. Definitely a great price. Would not have spent the original amount on this EVER.

I just needed "something" and this is fairly lightweight and easy enough to set up. If I get a full season with it I will be happy.

I bought this at a great price for a Caribbean cruise last fall. We took it to every beach where we snorkled and it served it's purpose well. It gave us a place to get out of the sun when needed and protected our towels and such. It can be set up by one person, but easier with two. It performed well in the wind - especially after we figured out to fill the little side pockets with sand! The only reason I gave it four stars is that one of the little pole tabs is already coming out. With a little reinforcement on those, it would be perfect.

We set this up and saw what other talked about - very little sun protection. We would have to add a tarp. While it was inexpensive, it just not what we were looking for.
