My son set this up on the front lawn to practice that before using it at the beach this summer. My grandchildren and the neighborhood kids, ages 2 to 13, instantly claimed it and played in it with blankets and pillows and board games all afternoon on a damp March day. It was a semi-shelter that was a contained place to be, easy to get in and out of for them and open enough for me to keep track of the activity. It required one rule. Because it has a sewn-in floor, the children needed to be told not to lean against the walls so it wouldn't tip over. I had not foreseen it as a playhouse but it is perfect: It is portable, inexpensive and easy to put up and take down.

I got this primarily for the beach, but haven't had a chance to use it out there yet. But I did put it up in my backyard/house. It's big and spacious enough to fully lay down inside it — which may not be a good thing if you're concerned about size/space. I've bought other "pop-up" tents/shelters, but this one seems more sturdy and doesn't seem like it would as easily collapse in high winds. This is my first ABO gear purchase, and overall it seems to be well made.

This is a great addition to my beach gear. Simple easy set up and light weight. Included are stakes and carry / storage pouches. Nice looking too. Best part of the deal is the price.

Just returned from Myrtle Beach and am glad to report that this little tent more than met my expectations. Most of the time the tent was not staked in the sand - just had towels and toys in it. However ... on the windy days I used the stakes it stayed put! Excellent ventilation. Shade was moderate so I laid a towel on top when it was super sunny. (12 noon - 2pm) It was pretty easy to set up, and once you have it up, it is easy to fold up and use the next day. Although my family and I rent chairs and umbrellas at the beach, this little sun shelter was a great addition.

Bought these as Christmas gifts for friends, so don't know how they function, yet. I thought it was different and looked usable and fun for the families I bought them for--we'll see.
