Acorn Anorak Cork Clogs (For Women)

I use them as house shoes, but walk our dog in them too.

I've worn them everyday, around the house, walking the dogs, and running errands

I wear these at home, like slippers but better: I can go outdoors without having to change into other shoes.

I once got a fantastically comfortable pair of cork slippers by Haflinger from STP which I wore around the house especially at the end of the working day. They were so supportive and comfortable that my tired feet quickly revived in them. I have not been able to get a replacement for those Haflingers, and finally looked for other brands with cork construction. These Acorn shoes have good arch support and the cork cushions impact, so they are a good second choice even though they don't have the Haflinger metatarsal support; they don't quite provide the same relief but are good nevertheless. The sole is firm and would be okay outside also. I don't wear them on the street because I prefer wearing shoes that cover the heel area up to the ankle, and these have just a lip at the back of the heel to help them stay on. I have wide feet and they fit just right even with thick wool socks on. They have 'give' to accomodate slight variations in foot shape, so breaking-in is minimal. I got a size nine, and I had thought I was an 8 1/2, so either they are slightly smaller than an average nine, or my feet have gotten slightly bigger. I'm not sure which.

Ok for around the house. Hope they break in soon then I might wear them more.

I bought a pair for my mother and one for myself. They were just a bit too short and the back was lower than I thought it would be. I have other acorn slippers and they are slightly higher in the back. I was concerned they might be too low for my mother and too small so I sent them back. I would order these a half size larger.

I was looking for a cork sole slipper. I wear these shoes/slippers all day, every day. They are very comfortable. I love them. They might not be the cutest shoe I have owned, but that wasn't why I bought them. I am a size 8, and they fit great.

Why did nobody tell me how wonderful cork was?!?! At age 67, I can wear these and feel even more comfortable than going barefoot. I love that they keep my feet warm and are easy to take off and put on.
