I have dark wood floors (barefeet make footprints) and these work great for the warmer summer months. They are very comfortable to wear around the house. Bottoms are sturdy enough for a quick trip outside to get the mail.

I wear an 8.5, sometimes an 8 in street shoes. They took my size Large out of my cart while I was on the way to buying it! I hate it when that happens. So, depending on the reviews that said these run small, I ordered the next size up, which was only a whole size larger than my usual shoe size. They are a little big, but I kept them and am wearing them every day. They feel better with thick socks. The width has loosened up a bit with wear, so don't let fear about them being too narrow keep you from ordering, unless you have a very wide foot. I imagine that size Large they took away from me to give to someone else, would have been absolutely perfecto for me. So whoever you are, who got that last pair of size Large -- and you know who you are, LOL -- I hope you are enjoying them as much as I am! These are great slippers for padding around the house.

For Arthritic and Diabetic feet: these have the best cushioning support I have found and I've tried them all. Thank you Acorn for a cool comfortable at home shoe for well used Baby Boomer feet.

These are just what I wanted in a summer slipper. Perfect for stepping into after a shower or to wear around the house, with or without socks. A tiny bit big for my size 8/39 foot, but no problem. I love Acorn slippers and bought two pairs of this style so I'm not heartbroken when the first pair wears out! I'm also impressed with Acorn's commitment to ecologically aware practices with their products and packaging.

Although the sole is a little stiff, the plush slide style slipper makes up for it with a really soft footbed. I feel like I'm at my own personal spa in these! Not the most stylish design but definitely the most comfortable slipper I have ever worn.

Before I begin my sad story, I must disclose that I like to wear socks with my slippers. Last time I ordered Acorns, I ordered a half-size up and they were too small. Even without socks they were uncomfortably snug on my larger right foot. (I gave them to charity rather than send them back--they were too gorgeous to waste.) So this time I ordered a FULL size up and--they're too small! I can just push them onto my bare feet. No more Acorns, though they look like the best slipper deal for bargain, durability and comfort. I'm actually kind of crushed...maybe I'll try a size 11 and see what happens.... Bottom line: Order a size up and forget about socks, or order two sizes up if you like wearing socks and slippers together!
