These are cozy slippers. I wore sheepskin slippers for years and these beat them especially in the moisture a quick trip to the compost bin. They have rubberized soles and are my choice indeed. You won't be disappointed.

These are my third pair of Acorn Slippers. I wear an 8-1/2 size shoe, so take a large in these slippers (8-9 shoe size). However, unlike the other pairs, these definitely run a bit smaller. If I wore a 9, they would be too small. But they are comfortable and cute.

This is my 3th pair of Acorn Highlander boiled wool slipper in 8 years. They are WARM (but not sweaty), easy to slip in and out of, and with heavy daily use lasts for about 2-3 years; the boiled wool can hold up for many years, it is the lining that wears out after a couple of years. They have a rubber soul so you can step outdoors but I wouldn't want to expose them to too much moisture. I wear a 7.5 in shoes -- these are perfectly comfortable in the medium size (6.5 - 7.5). They are relatively trim in comparison so not as clumsy looking as a lot of slippers. Overall the best slipper I've ever owned and hope to be wearing Highlanders for years to come!

I was very excited to order these, since I've heard good things about Acorns. They were tight, light and just not right. I ordered UP from my usual size but the cutout where you insert you foot was painfully tight and it didn't feel like it would stretch. The fabric felt flimsy, unlike the sold wool felt I was expecting, and the soles were light and did not feel like they would have provided a lot of insulation from cold floors, even if I could have kept the shoes on. Also, while it wouldn't have been a deal-killer if the slippers had fit, these are day-glo, neon pink, not like the more reasonable color shown in the picture.
