The reviews were bang on. I neeeded the 10. Other then sizing issue the slippers are well made, the sheepskin linner is warm and toasty.

I was resigned to their always wearing out much sooner than expected. They are fine for the first few months, although sometimes a little too warm so to make your feet damp. Then the suede wears through quickly - sometimes the front, sometimes the heel, sometimes the sides - never the same pattern, but always the same result. Sierra Trading Post graciously replaced my last pair at no cost, but I'll never buy another pair. My daughter finally bought me a similar style from a well-known chain store. They are much higher quality, at a fraction of the cost of these even on sale. They have lasted three times longer. I probably can't identify the brand here, but don't waste your money on these Acorns.

I think he rolls out of bed, throws on his sweatpants pants and mocs and heads to class. He is hard on them and wears them outdoors in Boston. That said, his first pair lasted a full year of pretty much continuous wear. Not sure if that is good, but if you think aobut it, these are slippers, not street shoes. He normally wears and 8.5 shoe, but these only started with a 9, but fit fine.

It'll be interesting to see how much it packs down over time. Right now they fit like a glove without socks.

Answer Generally, especially for non-laceup shoes, that's not such a hot idea. If they don't slip on the heel right away, they will soon enough. And you CERTAINLY don't want to go up to a 12. That's really pushing your luck. Better to keep looking for a pattern that comes in a 10.5 Wide and end up with something you can wear comfortably for the life of the shoe. But remember we're talking about the size measurement from the back of your heel to the ball of your foot -- anything else, and all bets are off.

Answer There is quite a lot of latitude in these slippers once they break in. Get the 11; the width, even if you have Fred Flintstone feet like my dad, I think will be fine. If you wear them with socks they may be quite tight at first. Wear them sans socks and let them adjust to your feet. Then add socks if that is how you prefer to wear them. I ditch my socks as soon as I get home and put these babies on!

Answer I wouldn't recommend it. I wouldn't say sizes run exceptionally large, but I vary between a 9 and 9 1/2 and the 9 size slipper was as big as I would want it. When in doubt, round down, in this case. Once the lambswool liner begins to wear I anticipate that the shoe will have even more room inside, and I wouldn't want it to slip off because I ordered to large.
