“Tight across arches”

“Nicely cushioned footbed and nice materials, but tight across my high arches. So I cannot get my foot in quite all the way. I keep pushing, though, because I think that when the footbed is broken in I will then have enough room vertically. If not, I will return. The sizing says 5-6 and I wear a 6. I wonder if they would fit a 5 better. I know a 7-8 would be too long, and this length is perfect if only I could get my foot in all the way. A little elastic give in the cross straps would solve the problem, but there is none.”
