I'm usually between a 7.5 and 8 so wasn't worried about going for the 8, but the back edge is right behind my heal. If my foot was a few cm bigger I would be stepping on the edge, but luckily they just barely fit.

It's hard to find slippers that don't have a sloppy fit -- I must have tried a dozen pairs before I found these. They are warm and supportive, and stay on my feet when I walk (no shuffling to keep them on). The fit is snug around the instep, which works on my thin feet but might not be good for a high instep or high-volume foot. The wool is warm without feeling too hot or sweaty, and the colors and embroidery are attractive. Very happy to have these during this cold winter!

This is my second pair, these slippers are also great for short errands outdoors in dry weather. Keep in mind that they do stretch out a little, after about a week of wear mine conformed perfectly to my foot.

I was looking to replace a pair of boiled wool mules I bought from Lands End probably 15 years ago. They had a cork insole also. I loved them but they were wearing out. These Acorn slippers are a terrific replacement.

About Acorn

From humble beginnings handcrafting slipper socks to present-day factory production by skilled craftsmen, Acorn has always had one thing in mind: Comfort. Acorn slippers are so incredibly warm and comfortable that astronauts take them to space and Sherpas pack them along on expeditions in the most extreme of conditions. Acorn sheepskin shoes and boots are naturally breathable, wicking and great for warming chilly feet around the fire or after a surfing session. And while nowadays there are many different designs and innovative features, the constants are the lightweight, soft, and unbelievably cushioned interiors produced using only the finest materials. With this degree of comfort, it’s certainly no wonder Acorn customers are devoted and loyal -- nothing else compares.
