These are nice, warm slippers. I usually wear a 8W shoe, so I ordered a L. They were too large, so I returned them for a M. The M slippers were quite snug right out of the box, but after a couple days they now fit perfectly.

I'd left my fairly new Acorn slippers of this same style on a houseboat where my family had vacationed, and was eager to replace them. So I promptly ordered these and found them to be just what I expected -- except they are too big! I'm so disappointed. I know the next size down doesn't work because I actually tied a pair on locally that my husband spotted in a local store after we arrived home and before I placed my order.

For some reason these slippers were strongly scented with a sickly fake vanilla/floral fragrance. Why??? I bought them for my daughter and she doesn't mind it but I can smell them any time she moves in them. At least they are comfortable and pretty durable looking.

I wrote a review for the other pair I purchased with a tweedy berber like material. I really like them better as these fleece ones look enormous. I am an 8 - 8.5 and purchased the M (7/8) and they are fine. Super comfy, certainly will be as durable as the others but I regret the color choice (green/blue leafy on off-white). I should have selected a darker option but won't bother exchanging, they'll be just fine. I did write in my other review that the cushion footbed is ok but not what I had in a previous slipper that was fantastic for 7 years. The brand was purchased by Acorn and I hoped these new ones would be as great. So far they are ok but time will tell. I would not have been happy with these slippers at full retail so getting them at the close out price is suitable. If only it was possible to edit a review in a couple years I might prove my predictions right or wrong.

Dear Anonymous....DEFINITELY the medium, don't try the large--I ordered large for my 8.5 size feet and they were way to big. I'm comfy with bare feet in a Medium which goes to 7.5. This is more true to my Acorn sox size, which is Medium.

If you want to wear with socks, go with the large. If you want to wear with bare feet, go with the medium.

MEDIUM|Medium states 6 1/2 to 7 1/2; the large runs large for a size 8.

Personally, I'd get the 8-9. If it was a regular shoe, maybe not, but I want major comfort in my house slippers, not a close fit. The Acorn mocs sometimes feel just a half size small IMO.

The Acorn Textured Moc Slippers' small fits sizes 5-6. The medium fits sizes 6½-7½. You should also read the reviews on the Sierra Trading Post website, which are helpful in determining what size to order.

I wear an 8 shoe and the 6 1/2 - 7 1/2 actually fit me well--a bit snug at the toes at first, but they seem to stretch a bit with just a little wear, and then they are fine. This is my second pair of Acorn slippers in this size, and I found the same to be true with the first pair. Does make me wonder how they'd fit someone who truly wears 6 1/2!
