They're so comfortable - I'm well on my way to relaxing once I slide my tired feet into them after a long day on my feet. The colors and pattern are lovely.

I love Acorn socks, so I thought I'd try. So far, so good. They're toasty warm, easy on / off, and very comfortable. The pattern I wanted was in a size too large, and it IS too large, so I'd say they're true to size, but I'm still able to wear them, and I'm not the least bit sorry. I'm not running the marathon in these, just walking around the house. I was able to recycle a pair of slippers that was much more expensive but just didn't offer the warmth and comfort of these Acorns. Hopefully this made some Goodwill customer very happy with their "new" Orvis leather fleece-lined indoor / outdoor moccasin style slippers.

Having read all the reviews about sizing and being an 8 1/2, my smaller size down is a little short in the heal. I hope that they pack in a bit so the fit evens out. Nice slippers otherwise!

All Acorn slippers I have had have been washable. These look like they will wash just fine. I haven't had them long enough to find out for sure.

I have washed mine probably 6 or 8 times over the course of 6 years and they fared fine. I don't usually put them in the dryer, but my husband did once and they came out OK.

Answer
Absolutely! After having these for so many years, especially the one(s)that my teen son wears, they need washing. I throw them in the washer/dryer. And voila! They wash up nicely. I've even pre-sprayed them with a nice scent to help very athletic feet that don't ever seem to smell well, very nice...Can even wash the ones with "suede sides" with no problem. I used "cold wash" in darks gentle cycle. Just DON'T OVER DRY!! Hope that helps!

Answer
I think not, because of the construction of the soles. You might get away with hand wiping them down, but I wouldn't put them in a washing machine.

Question
“How do the sizes compare to number shoe size? Would a medium be right for someone with an 8-8.5 shoes size?”
Asked on 11/10/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
Answer
If you hover over the letter size with your mouse cursor, a small box will pop up telling you what shoe sizes correspond to the letter size. In the case of these Acorn slippers, a L fits a size 8-9.
