    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    If you are at all unsteady on your feet you should avoid these socks. Wearing them would make it easy to fall on a slippery floor, and they are much too boxy and thick to fit into slippers. Imagine walking around with pieces of poly fleece blanket wrapped around your feet. This is how these socks are constructed, like "snuggies" for your feet. These socks are soft and warm but are a very bad idea for anyone who is concerned about falling on a smooth floor surface.
