I also like that they fit a little loose around the top, so I can roll them down for more comfort. The color selection was good too. I will be buying more of these socks.

Question “I broke both my wrists a few days ago, and my old Acorn fleece socks are the only pair of socks I can put on by myself, as they are very loose and easy to pull on and off. My old socks have holes in the heels and I would like to order a couple of pairs to get me through the next few weeks. I wear a woman's size 8.5. What size should I order and which model? (I see two different models of fleece socks) Are these new versions as soft and easy to pull on?”

Answer I would say 1695P in the size Medium (Shoe Size 7½-9). They still are soft and easy to get on.

Question “I have several pair of an older style of the Acorn Polar fleece socks that look just like these. They are all sized L. They all seem to fit OK except for one pair which are way too big. I don't remember if they were Women's size or Unisex. I suspect that at least the over-sized ones were Unisex.||I wear a 9W shoe and do not like anything tight. I also do not like things too loose. Answer I don't think they would be very good for tall rubber boots. They don't come up that high, and would have your bare leg touching rubber.

Answer LOW, ONLY GOOD IF YOU STUFF YOUR JEANS INSIDE BOOTS. ALSO, NOTHING IS WARM ENOUGH INSIDE MY RUBBER BOOTS ON A COLD DAY.

Answer These socks come about half-way up the calf. Would work very well with short rubber boots (they add great warmth for late winter when it is still cold and wet), but higher boots might chafe on bare legs.

Answer I think it depends on your calf size. On me, they come up mid-way so if you have boots that are to the knee, they would not completely reach it but these socks are so durable and warm that I would try them out.

Answer not quite half way between ankle and knee. for me, the height is perfect and yes, they would be good for rubber boots. just wish I had had them when I was wearing rubber boots. I am diabetic and finding tall socks that will stay up and yet not, squeeze my leg is a treasure. I am not sure how they stay up so well but I can even put my finger in between the sock and my leg, they are so loose. They are great, will never buy any other winter socks again.

Answer Some are higher than others but all are great for rubber boots due to the warmth factor...Great with clogs, mules or any open back shoe...They are about mid calf in either case, I wear my "little (knee length) yellow rubber" boots often when needed in my job or muddy situations in my neighborhood when they are excavating an area...

Answer I think they work okay in winter boots or rain boots or any other shoe that is a bit roomy or has laces to adjust how tight it is, but they would be bulky in a regular athletic shoe and certainly would not work with a dress/casual slip on style.
