While they have rubber soles, they are not meant to go outside in winter. Someone mentioned to go down a size and that's correct. I am usually a 6 1/2 if the shoes don't require socks, and I have normal to narrow feet, and since it said to go down, I got size 6. They fit fine, but were maybe a bit on the loose side, which I don't mind. I'm just glad I didn't go up a size. They don't dig in on the heel like someone else said. They will be perfect house slippers.
