I think these were a real bargain. I ordered the size for 8 or 9 first as I sometimes wear an 8 and sometimes 7 1/2. They were too big. When the smaller size came, I was afraid that they were too small as they seemed tight with socks. I decided to keep them as they were a real bargain. Now, I can wear them with or without socks and they are just right. I love the purple and aqua color.

This is my 3th pair of Acorn Highlander boiled wool slipper in 8 years. They are WARM (but not sweaty), easy to slip in and out of, and with heavy daily use lasts for about 2-3 years; the boiled wool can hold up for many years, it is the lining that wears out after a couple of years. They have a rubber soul so you can step outdoors but I wouldn't want to expose them to too much moisture. I wear a 7.5 in shoes -- these are perfectly comfortable in the medium size (6.5 - 7.5). They are relatively trim in comparison so not as clumsy looking as a lot of slippers. Overall the best slipper I've ever owned and hope to be wearing Highlanders for years to come!
