5.0 out of 5 stars. good boots for hikingVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Ohio on Sunday, January 17, 2016Good boots for hiking. They are light and have cushion. But I have to return because size 8 is a litter big for me. I suggest STP can measure the length of the insole, because I think its a more useful data for choosing a pair of shoes.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable Boot - Sticky SoleVerified Buyer Reviewed by Part time Hiker from Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 17, 2015These bots were comfortable right out of the box. Like a pair of running shoes. I went a half size up because I usually wear thicker socks for hiking. Did a short hike over somewhat smooth boulders and they gripping like climbing shoes. Very comfortable all around hiking boot. I wore them in the snow over smooth concrete with no slippage and my feet stayed warm the whole time. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I am not able to tie a tight knot with these laces. It's either the quick lace buckle is too wide or the laces are too narrow. Debris found its way into my shoes because of a loose knot. I will switch out the laces and find out. Ventilation is okay. I found my foot getting warm at the end of the day.
I would definitely recommend! -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great boot, material and build quality second to none!Reviewed by T the Rocky's Destroyer from Colorado Rocky Mountains on Friday, November 21, 2014For years, I have been vocal in my support of Adidas. In the past year, I switched from Salomon to Adidas for my outdoor footwear. Best choice I ever made and these boots are no exception.
The Kumacross fits well (though a tad narrow through forefoot), has an amazing outsole and the Ortholite insoles that are like butter! Adidas was really intelligent in partnering with external material manufacturers like Gore-Tex, Continental and Ortholite. In those three areas, these boots excel beyond any of their competition. The build quality is superb and achieving this much comfort, durability and protection in a boot this lightweight is insane. I have a pair each of the Fast R GTX Low, Swift R GTX Low, Fast X GTX Mid and Zappan DLX and now the Kumacross GTX Mid and I wouldn't trade a single one! Adidas Outdoor Terrex is the best product on the market and worth every penny! But, it doesn't hurt when you can get them 30% off at Sierra Trading Post! ;)
Pros:
Material Quality
Build Quality
Lightweight
Continental Rubber: If unfamiliar with them, I have stood on a 45 degree granite slab in the rain and they just stick! Never seen anything like it!
Breathable with great Gore-Tex protection
Aggressive tread pattern: Though not thoroughly tested yet.
Design: I think they are a really good looking everyday and off trail boot
Cons:
Price: But, totally worth it!
Forefoot is a little narrow: Will likely break in well.
Arch support: I have good arches, so they're great for me, but I could see someone with arch issues not being comfortable without a custom insole.
A little bulky and take some time to break in.
Adidas does it again! I'll never wear anything else!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfort with support--great looking tooReviewed by Anonymous from VA on Saturday, November 15, 2014This boot well-made with good suport and traction. The ankle support is initially stiff and the fit is snug on the foot, but this quickly feels comfortable after wearing a few times. If you are worried about he fit, I'd recommend ordering up a 1/2 size. (I usually do with most adidas footwear generally.) The boot provides a locked in, but comfortable fit. The color also looks great with rich deep brown leather. Cleans up easy with the Gore-Tex finish. Overall very pleased with a high quality, comfortable boot.

4.0 out of 5 stars. I wish they were wider, but overall a very good boot!Reviewed by Anonymous from Great Lakes on Wednesday, November 12, 2014The first thing I noticed when I put these boots on was how much ankle support there was. The second thing was how narrow they are. I don't have a really wide foot, so I thought that them only having these boots left in medium width was o.k., but left wishing this boot was a bit wider! I am going to try some gentle stretching.
They do have almost all the support of a snowboarding boot, but without the awkward walk. These boots actually keep you walking a little more flat footed, due to how well it hugs the foot.
-Cons I can see, is potential hotspots on the top edges of the small toes (top of the lateral plantar area) . Need to be tightly laced, or the shank may rub the achilles tendon if you don't walk with at least a slight flat foot.
-Pros are the overall fit of the boot (minus the tight lateral plantar). I have bad ankles and knees and these seem to not only provide the ankle support that I need, but my knees also, by helping me standing up much easier (almost like a snowboard, or ski boot). Very good with the waterproofing!
I don't climb, but these look like they would be quite good for certain types of climbing, due to the ridged sole and shank, also the toes taper to be more pointed at the end with a small cleat that also looks like it might be good with some snowshoes.
Over all I gave these a 4. I would have given them a 5 if they were slightly wider! -

4.0 out of 5 stars. A real nice hiking boot.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Ohio on Monday, November 3, 2014Not a bad lightweight hiking boot at all. I wouldn't want to backpack with them if I were carrying more than 30lbs, but that is not what they are designed for. Very comfortable, lightweight boot, and has good traction on trails. Boot fit quite well. Minor complaint is that the boot laces are just long enough to enable you to get a single knot. Most hikes prefer double knotting to prevent them from coming loose while hiking.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Justin from Ohio on Saturday, November 1, 2014No break in necessary, had them out on 4 river fishing trips, muddy and wet, my feet were dry and comfy. My only small complaint is that the laces are a little bit short.
